Testing out BackerKit Survey (Smoke Test)!

Hi Trail Blazers,

We will be doing a 'Smoke Test' for our survey, before sending it out to ALL of our backers.

What is a Smoke Test?

• A smoke test sends surveys to 5% of backers (at random) from each pledge level in your campaign.
• It’s a simple way to catch any errors in our survey and make sure everything runs smoothly.
• Once our smoke test has been completed, we can send surveys to the rest of our backers.

Please check your email to see if you have received a BackerKit survey. If you have not, please do not worry! Once we have confirmed everything is running smoothly, we will post another update to let you know that we have sent the surveys to the rest of our backers. We plan to send all surveys out by the end of this week!

BackerKit surveys are coming this week!

Hi Trail Blazers!

This week, you’ll receive an email from us with a special link to your BackerKit survey. It’s important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information to fulfil your rewards.

You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email!

After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys and get our final counts.

If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://seadon.backerkit.com.

If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account. If you have another email address that you prefer to use, please contact support at https://seadon.backerkit.com/faq.

Please note: Backers who backed the 'Trail Magic reward' will NOT be receiving a Backerkit survey. We will be taking your orders through Direct Messaging on Kickstarter.

Hi Trail Blazers!

Kickstarter has now finalised all the pledges that had payments confirmed. There were some pledges where the payments did not go through (please see previous update on why), so unfortunately, these pledges are now dropped and we would not be able to send out the rewards to these dropped pledges. If you are unsure whether your payment has gone through, please check your email. Kickstarter should have sent you a confirmation email already. If you have not received it, let us know and we will confirm your pledge from our side. 

Timeline:

We still have 1 month before we start shipping, so we are still very much on track in our current timeline. We are in the process of finalising our survey, and once we have confirmed the payment from Kickstarter, we will give you a heads up on the exact date and time of when we will send out the survey out to you. We are aiming towards the end of next week. 

BackerKit Survey:

We have decided to partner with BackerKit to send our surveys- BackerKit is a backer survey and data management platform that helps crowdfunding creators send surveys, sell add-ons and pre-orders. BackerKit helps us save lots of time by streamlining the survey process, automating data organization, and providing us with pledge management software to make it easy to process your pledge reward shipments.

In the survey, you would be able to fill in your pledge info, such as style, size, color and delivery address. 

You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to answer your survey. The invitation email contains a link to your personal survey. It is important to submit your responses as quickly as you can since we need this information to process your rewards.     

If you need to change your survey responses, purchase add-on items, or update your shipping information, you can click the link in your survey email again or request your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page. (This page will only start working after we send the surveys out.)

Just a quick update on a few things, which we will bunch them all up in one update to keep things more streamlined.

Congratulations on the following winners! We will contact you in private regarding your free tees. We will reach out when our survey is ready to be sent out.

Earth Day Stats:

On Earth Day, we proposed to plant 1 tree for every US$ 10 pledged with One Tree Planted, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization focused on planting trees around the world. We are super stoked to announce that we raised a total of US$ 2612.5 on the day, so that's roughly 261 trees! Since we love trees though, we'll round that up to 300 trees! The planet will soon be greener thanks to you!

Payment + Survey:

We are still waiting for Kickstarter to process some of the remaining payments, which are still pending due to some expired cards and other validity issues. If these are not resolved in 7 days from when the campaign was ended, these pledges will be dropped. As soon as we have received the final payment from Kickstarter, we will send out the survey to you all to fill in your pledge information. We expect to send out the survey to you within 7 days or so, depending on Kickstarter's timeline.
